Nagaland Governor, CM & Dy CM mourn former minister Zhimomi’s demise

Nagaland Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton have condoled the demise of former Minister and former president, Western Sumi Hoho (WSH), Dr Kakheto Zhimomi, on Saturday in Dimapur.

Prof Mukhi said the state had lost a dedicated and sincere public leader, and Dr. Zhimomi’s relentless services towards the people of Nagaland in general and Western Sumis in particular would be remembered for years to come.

Neiphiu Rio said late Dr Zhimomi was a sincere and upright leader, with genuine concerns for the welfare of the society especially those of the marginalized.
Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, tweeted that the immense contributions made by late Dr. Zhimomi towards the Naga society throughout his illustrious life would never be forgotten.

Meanwhile, the NSCN/GPRN has also condoled the demise of Dr Kakheto Zhimo on Saturday.
NSCN/GPRN Ato Kilonser, Col (Retd) Isak Sumi (MC) in a condolence message stated that during his life time, late Kakheto Zhimo had served the Nagas in various capacities, a good doctor by profession who was called to serve as a minister in the government of Nagaland and also served in various social platforms and NGOs including serving as Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) president.
The message also read that late Dr Kakheto’s selfless and dedication as a leader was like a “pole star” unwary of any storm or problems in his path for the service of the Nagas and further added that his sudden demise was a great loss for the Nagas, a visionary and virtuous leader the void he left would never be filled.
The NSCN/GPRN further conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
