Union minister of state (External Affairs and Education) RK Ranjan on Tuesday stressed on the need for the National Institutes of Technology in Manipur and other Northeastern states to bring about a revolution in architecture, technology, energy amongst others.
MP Ranjan was speaking as the chief guest during the 8th convocation ceremony of the NIT, Manipur at its Langol campus.
The union minister of state also lauded the institute for making strides in recent years. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), 2021, it ranked 114 amongst the engineering Institutes in the country, he added.
Stating that science and technology is advancing rapidly in the world, he exhorted the institute to join the race, making new innovations and inventions.
