Meetei Council Moreh (MCM), Kha Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup (KHNANL) and All Manipur Students Union AMSU) Tengnoupal District Committee jointly organised a programme to observe the 22nd Death Anniversary of Arambam Samarendra at the MCM office in Moreh Bazar on Friday.
On the occasion, office-bearers, members and representatives of various civil society groups, including Lainingthou Sanamahi Puya Sandok Lup, Moreh observed two-minute silence and paid floral tributes to Late Arambam Samarendra.
In his speech, Meetei Council Moreh president Mayanglambam Thoiba hailed Arambam Samarendra a pioneer, writer, artist, social activist, who dedicated his whole life for a better Manipur. Remembering a personality like him on his martyrdom day is a befitting tribute, he added.
