A one-day “Free Medical Health Check Up Camp” was conducted at Manipur University Health Center, Imphal on Friday.
The free medical camp was a joint initiative of Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI), Imphal West and Manipur University Health Center, Canchipur.
A team from SHRI led by Dr. L. Dipenty Devi (Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist) and Dr. Darendrajit Longjam (Consultant PMR & Pain Medicine) provided free consultation for gynaecological conditions as well as those who required physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR) to increase patients’ independence in daily activities and improve quality of life.
More than 130 patients were screened and given free consultation at Manipur University Health Center, Imphal today. Shija successfully completed the camp with support from Prof N Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University and Dr. Lamabam Pinky, MO In-charge, Manipur University Health Centre. SHRI has organized a number of such outreach camps to deliver services to the general population of Manipur, said a press statement.
