Moreh CSOs appeals to ‘UG cadres’ to abstain from moving around with arms

The joint bodies said that “it will remain a mute spectator” if any cadre is arrested for moving around with arms in future.

CSOs of Moreh appealed to all the cadres of underground organisations, individuals and groups to abstain from moving around with arms with immediate effect and abstain from any activities which could harm the peace of the town.

A joint release by the Hill Tribal Council Moreh, Kuki Women Union & Human Rights Moreh, Kuki Students Organisation Moreh Block and Moreh Youth Club stated that the joint bodies will remain a mute spectator if any cadre is arrested for moving around with arms in future.

The release mentioned that some underground organisation cadres and individuals had been moving around in the town with arms which was very much detrimental to the peaceful settlement of the town. The public had been living in fear as any incident can happen anytime, it added.
