Formed in 2019, S4Y is a sports organisation working under Kangpokpi District Multipurpose Development Society (KDMDS). It aims to promote the youngsters in the fields of sports and other competitions.

The official jersey of Sports4Youths (S4Y) sponsored by Kangpokpi District Multipurpose Development Society (KDMDS) was formally launched at Kangpokpi DHQs on Tuesday.
The jersey was launched by Kangpokpi SP Karthik Malladi at Conference Hall, SP Kangpokpi office, attended by the working committee of Sports4Youths and other police officers.
KDMDS president Paominlun Lhouvum, in his introductory speech, highlighted the aim and objectives of S4Y.
He said that S4Y, formed in 2019 is a sports organisation working under Kangpokpi District Multipurpose Development Society (KDMDS). It aims to promote the youngsters in the fields of sports and other competitions, he added.
He continued that many talented youngsters in our society need guidance and support and many want to pursue sports as an alternative career to education in schools.
He said, there are also so many youths who waste their time in certain illegal activities in the society while adding that considering all these issues, the need for forming an organisation which will guide and support these youngsters were perceived and now it is functional and ready to work for the upliftment of the children.
manager of S4YJathang Kipgen recalled some of the hardships that the organisation, as a newly formed body, has to tackle in terms of financial support and anticipation but assured that it is dedicated to promoting the youngsters in sports and other competitions.
Kangpokpi SP Karthik Malladi, after receiving a traditional muffler from S4Y Treasurer Lhingpihoi Sitlhou as a token of love and respect, shared his opinions and concerns for the organisation while assuring that he is ever ready to participate and also assured to extend any possible helps from time to time.
