Meghalaya chief minister and NPP national president Conrad Sangma condoled the death and tweeted “We have lost a dear friend & a committed party leader”.

Former MLA of Kshetrigao AC and National People’s Party (NPP) national general secretary Vivek Raj Wangkhem succumbed to COVID-19 on Monday. It has been learnt that he has been battling for some time at a hospital in Delhi. 

Meghalaya chief minister and NPP national president Conrad Sangma condoled the death and tweeted “We have lost a dear friend & a committed party leader”.

NPP Manipur president and minister N Kayisii, in a message condoling the demise, said “I’m very shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden and untimely demise of Shri Vivek Raj, General Secretary (National), NPP & Former minister, Govt.of Manipur”.

Vivek Raj Wangkhem was a dedicated and efficient party leader and his untimely demise has left a big vacuum for the NPP and for the countrymen in general, he continued, adding “My most sincere condolences to the bereaved family and all His near and dear ones.Praying for His soul to rest in eternal Peace”.
