Zomi Re-unification Organisation (ZRO) on Thursday warned ex-Zomi national workers to desist from indulging in anti-Zomi activities or else face the consequences.

A press statement issued by its joint secretary ministry of information and public relations TK Mang, claimed that some ex-Zomi national workers, who had taken a solemn pledge not to act against the unity and integrity of Zomi, in a blatant violation and contradiction of their pledges are hell-bent on vitiating and weakening the basic foundation of Zomi national interest in connivance with certain disgruntled individuals much to the chagrin of ZRO.

Mentioning that they have been absolved and condoned their hostile activities in order to nurture and foster peaceful co-existence and social harmony, ZRO said it is quite disappointing and insulting to note that the deliberate actions of a section of ex-Zomi national workers are inimical and detrimental to the policies and programmes of Zomi national interest.

The ZRO further said it is apparent that the dust of those who rebelled against ZRO in the year 2012 and 2018 yet granted general amnesty refused to settle down and still stayed fresh.

ZRO made it clear that it is committed to fight tooth and nail against centrifugal forces and prepares to face any challenge that may crop-up in the journey towards its political goals. It claimed it is fully equipped to foil any sinister attempt to derail its avowed objectives.

It would spare no effort for the protection of the unity and integrity of Zomi, it added.

“ZRO reserves the exclusive right to take action against any ex-Zomi national worker found guilty of dishonouring its directives,” said the statement.
