The Churachandpur Working Reporting Union (CWRU) which is affiliated to All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU), on Tuesday observed is 4th anniversary at Jachintha Rohobot, Singat sub division attended by AMWJU president W Shyamjai and his team where a formal but brief function and a grand feast was held.
The president of AMWJU promised to deliver what is needed by CWRU like providing a plot for them for which the chief minister has already given his assurances. Shyamjai maintained that it may happen overnight, but it will be done.
He also said that the new membership issue for CWRU members will be taken up. The other guest also echoed the same as the president in their speeches and congratulated the CWRU.
While CWRU executive member Daniel Gangte gave the welcome speech, CRWU president Alex Guite delved into the need of the CWRU like allocation of office space and the other needs of CWRU.
The CWRU also presented a momento to the AMWJU president who was elected the president of the AMJWU recently, who had work for the welfare of the journalists of Churachandpur and the state.
