With an aim to renew and strengthen their cordial relationship and peace to prevail in the area, a grand feast was held at Litan Police Station on January 9, 2021, attended by leaders and elders of Sikibung and Litan Sareikhong.
The programme is an outcome of the tireless initiative taken up by the MLAs of 43-Phungyar and 44-Ukhrul, Districts Administration of Ukhrul and Kamjong, CSOs and Litan Police consequent upon the aftermath of the December 28 and 29, 2020 incident. On December 31, 2020, few important resolutions were adopted after much deliberation for ushering peace in the area. The participants at the meeting held on December 31, 2020 agreed to have a grand feast on January 9, 2021 at the premise of Litan PS as a sign of resolving their differences that evolved because of the incident that has happened on December 28 and 29, 2020.
The village authority of Sikibung and Litan Sareikhong expressed regret on the incident and ensured not to repeat such types of incident in the future. In regards to land issue, both the parties have agreed to resort to appeal or approach competent authority for final settlement and until such order is issued by the competent authority, the parties agreed to restrain and refrain from indulging in unconstitutional activities.

44-Ukhrul MLA Alfred Kanngam Arthur who attended the feast urged the leaders and elders of the area to uphold the sense of living together for peaceful coexistence.
As a sign of support for ushering peace in the area, the feast was also attended by 44-Ukhrul MLA Alfred Kanngam Arthur, Ukhrul DC Joseph Pauline Kamsom, Ukhrul SP Worngam Ningshen, Ukhrul SDO Christianhome Huileng, Phungyar SDO Daikong G, Ukhrul Addl SP (OP) Ringthing Hongchui, Addl SP (LO) Luther Nangsha, Tangkhul Naga Foothills Organisation president Turner Raihing, PS to 43-Phungyar MLA Leishiyo Keishing, Ngahanpam Haorei and other leaders from neighbouring villages.
