Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations, Manipur (FEGOCTA) on Monday threatened to go on agitations again if the state government does not issue 7th UGC Pay slips by November 27, 2021.
Stating that the Government college teachers do not wish to disturb academic and other activities in the post Covid pandemic time, FEGOCTA urged the Chief Minister, the Education Minister, the Chief Secretary, AG Office etc. to issue the pay slips the deadline.
The federation said they are not any authority and the decision to relaunch was taken at FEGOCTA meeting held on November 12, 2021.
FEGOCTA specifically requested to AG Office to issue the 7th UGC Pay slips from the month and year which are 100% clear in the July 3 order.
FEGOCTA said it is very unfortunate and shocking that ever after four months since July 3 order, the government failed to implement national policy of 7th UGC Pay despite Cabinet approvals.
The federation asked why national policy of 7th UGC Pay is not implemented in Manipur till teachers resorted to agitation.
Questioning the reason for delay in issuing new UGC Pay slips for the College teachers in Manipur, FEGOCTA said the State governments, including Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, implemented it in 2018.
