In his farewell speech, Joseph Pauline Kamsom lauded people of Ukhrul for cooperation and expressed gratitude to MLA Alfred Kanngam Arthur and MLA Khashim Vashum for standing solid with the District Administration.

Ukhrul accorded a warm farewell to its outgoing Deputy Commissioner Joseph Pauline Kamsom at a programne held at DRDA Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Ukhrul on Wednesday.
After serving as Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul District for two years and two months, he will be posted as Deputy Commissioner of Pherzawl District.
Joseph Pauline Kamsom in his farewell speech stated that “I am leaving Ukhrul with a sense of pride and with that sense of pride I will continue to serve other districts with the same zeal and dedication. I will take the model of Ukhrul to my new posting. When your motive is good, nobody can touch you and God will be there to protect you. And I thanked God for all the blessings he has showered upon me.”
“Many predicted I would not survived long in Ukhrul but through your cooperation I have come this far and I am thankful to you all. You just need to be a good team leader to lead the District Administration. I have so much trust in the team and they have performed so well for the welfare of the people.
“The District will be happy to have a young and dynamic new DC and we expect greater height during his tenure. I appealed everyone to give your undivided cooperation to your new DC as you have extended it to me. I also expressed by gratitude to MLA Alfred Kanngam Arthur and MLA Khashim Vashum for standing solid with the District Administration. I also extend my regards to all the Tangkhul CSOs’ leaders for their deep understanding and support. Thank you for the good rapport we share during my short stay here in Ukhrul.
“We may depart today but we will be meeting every now and then. When time and situation permits for organising Shirui Lily Festival, I will be seeing you all again. Thank you for your kind words and generous gifts.”
SP of Ukhrul, Saujanya Singh stated that “I have been very lucky that in my first tenure as SP is under DC Joseph Pauline. He is a great man from inside, always supporting and for young officers like us, he is always welcoming at his home or at his phone and tries to give a mature opinion and perspective.”
Speaking at the farewell programme, ADM of Ukhrul, David Kashungnao stated that “Joseph Pauline Kamsom works much harder than his subordinate officers. We have experienced many DCs leaving Ukhrul not so pleasantly. But today, I should say, this is the first time DC from Ukhrul leaving with a smile. His tenure has been a moment of peace and prosperity for the District.”
The farewell programme was attended by DLOs and Staffs of Ukhrul District. Krishna Kumar will be the new Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul. Earlier he was posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur.
