Briefing the media at the party office, People’s Road, Imphal, Krishnadash said that the imbroglio inside the party has been resolved. On March 19, the Election Commission of India (ECI) sent a letter which recognised Mayengbam Amutombi as working president, Haobijam Gitajen as general secretary (Administration), Ningombam Meghachandra as treasurer, and himself as the president of the party, he added.

Krishnadash said that since its inception, MPP has always worked to save the state. Because of some people creating chaos like situations in the party no work could be done, he said and urged no one to interfere in the party’s working now.

Stating that the party is all set to field 60 candidates, he urged the people to support them. If the party comes to power it will work to save the state and salvage people’s suffering.

The general secretary (Administration) Haobijam Gitajen said that as the imbroglio inside the party has been settled, MPP is all set to work with the people again.

As per the decision of the Working Committee and Central Committee, the old letterhead ceased to be genuine and a new one will be issued. He also said a resolution has been made to enroll all the party members afresh and to reorganise and reconstitute the organisation in all the ACs.
