16 Startups from NE take part in KIIT-TBI Startup Innovation Conclave 1.0

DoNER Secretary highlighted the effort made by DONER Ministry to integrate the Startups from North East into the country’s Startup Ecosystem with special attention on healthcare, education, and employment

The Manipur Technology Innovation Hub (MTI HUB) along with 16 startups from NE, took part in the two-day Startup Innovation Conclave 1.0 held at KIIT Technology Business Incubator in Bhubaneswar on 9 & 10 December 2022.

The conclave, which was organised as part of the ongoing Silver Jubilee Celebrations of KIIT, was inaugurated by Sh Lok Ranjan, Secretary of DoNER. Speaking at the inaugural session, Lok Ranjan highlighted the effort made by the DONER Ministry to integrate the Startups from North East into the country’s Startup Ecosystem with special attention on healthcare, education, and employment.

He also emphasized on the need for able partners to identify, incubate and groom future Startups from the North-Eastern States. He also underlined the vision of the North-East region that is achieving impactful transformation at an accelerated pace to catch up with its deficiencies in a sustainable way.

The Secretary has also inaugurated North East Pavilion wherein 16 Startups from North East, including 10 from Manipur, have showcased their products and services and also launched three products. The pavilion was visited by a number of officials from TDB, NRDC, DST, BIRAC, MSME, DAAD, investors, and venture capitalists.

The MTI HUB is an initiative of the Department of Information Technology, Govt of Manipur to help and support the startup of the state.
