Yangpen Yangya added, “on 3rd February 2021, a team from Central Agricultural University, Imphal visited Phungcham for inspection of Haofa. They have collected the detailed information of the breed such as general description, management practices, physical characters, performance, utility and other information specific to the breed. Accordingly, the application for registration of Haofa was sent to the National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR) at Haryana on 6th July 2022. Now, we are eagerly waiting for the certification of Haofa.”
