Wungpam Raikhan of Tora village, a retired engineer of CPWD officially joined the Naga People’s Front (NPF) on Saturday. Raikhan along with 30 of his supporters were officially enrolled as active members of NPF at the party office located in Ukhrul Headquarters. He is an intending NPF candidates from 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency.
Raikhan has been imparting building construction techniques to the people in remote areas. He had provided free architectural and building designs to the economically weaker sections of the community.
Speaking to this correspondent, Wungpam Raikhan stated that his mission was aimed at working for the economic uplift of the people in rural areas and to promote youth empowerment. To serve and uphold the unity and integrity of the people, to encourage, engage and equip others to believe in the possibilities, are some of his objectives.
The new NPF members were warmly welcomed by the President and colleagues of NPF, 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency at the party office in Ukhrul Headquarters.
