The proposed First Tangkhul Music Festival of Tangkhul Music Forum schedule for December 10 and 11, 2021 has been postpone indefinitely as a show of solidarity towards the victims of Oting massacre in Nagaland’s Mon district on December 4 and 5, 2021.

Dubbed as the biggest music festival of Tangkhul artists under the aegis of Tangkhul Musi Forum (TMF), the First Tangkhul Music Festival has been postponed indefinitely as a show of solidarity towards the victims of Oting massacre that took place on December 4 and 5, 2021 whereby killing 15 innocent civilian by Indian Security Forces.
President of TMF Aran Jelly told TFM that “during emergency meeting of TMF, the Forum has taken the resolution to postpone the schedule First Tangkhul Music Festival indefinitely as a sign of solidarity towards the victims of Oting incident.
The First Tangkhul Music Festival was to kickstart from December 10 and wind up on December 11 at Mission Ground, Alungtang, Ukhrul. Around 60 artists from the Tangkhul community had confirmed their participation for the two-day music festival.
“We regret to inform you that we have indefinitely postponed the First Tangkhul Music Festival until further notice. We request the artists to bear the inconveniences,” he said.
The Tangkhul Naga Long, the apex body of Tangkhul community has also issued an appeal to all the citizens to observe the mourning period till December 12, 2021 with regards to the sad and tragic Oting killing of innocent civilians.
