The Congress candidate defeated the “combined might” of the opposition-less NDPP-BJP led government with its 60 legislators and two MPs, it said.

The Rising People’s Party (RPP) who after floating its presence felt within the state on Wednesday has termed that Congress candidate S Supongmeren Jamir’s win to the 18th Lok Sabha has been imprinted in the annals of “history”.
Congratulating Congress candidate, S Suppongmeren’s “electrifying victory” in the recently held Lok Sabha elections to the lone seat of Nagaland (LS), the RPP also addressed that “history” has recorded that Supongmeren Jamir defeated the “combined might” of the opposition-less NDPP-BJP led government with its 60 legislators and two MPs.
The feat acknowledged as “unparalleled” in the largest democratic country, India, the RPP mentioned that Supongmeren’s victory indeed belonged to the Nagas while citing that the 18th Lok Sabha election in the state was “people versus 60 MLAs”.
The party furthered that firstly the people voted against 21 years of Rio’s misrule including even in Northern Angami-1, Rio’s constituency, the Congress garnered 35 percent of the votes.
RPP mentioned that the victory is also a “referendum” against the NDPP-BJP coalition and threw lights that right thinking voters participated in “full force” so as to defeat the coalition candidate who represented the “corruption” and the “misrule” while characterizing the opposition-less government.
The RPP also said that the “wise people” of Nagaland had voted against the Hindutva agenda of the BJP for which no further elaboration is required, while adding that a new era has dawned in Nagaland’s political scenario.
