The Department of Social Work of St Joseph College, Ukhrul has successfully conducted a Rural Camp on the topic “Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA)” at Phaibung Khullen, Senapati district, Manipur from 11-15 January 2022. A total of 27 Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students along with 2 assistant professors participated in the camp.
Lanthou Mark Gonmei, project manager of Don Bosco NGO, having 22 years of experience in PRA workshop was the facilitator of the camp. During the camp, the BSW students used 11 PRA tools like social mapping, resource mapping, Venn diagram, seasonal calendar etc. while going for field work study in the village.

chairperson express their profound appreciation and support to the students. The students expressed that they are indeed fortunate to learn the practical field work study which is part of their syllabus/studies after a long lockdown that had hindered their practical activities.
