With an aim to strengthen the beautiful game, three days referee development programme is being organised at Ukhrul Headquarters.

Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA) under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and All India Football Federation (AIFF) is organising three days referees recruitment cum refresher course at Ukhrul Headquarters.
Referee Instructor AIFF and Head of Referees (HOR) of Manipur, I Rabichandra Singh and Ex-FIFA Assistant Referee and Referee Instructor of AMFA, M Magho Singh are the two instructors who will be imparting knowledge on the latest rules and laws of football to the referees from Ukhrul. Theory session using projector begins on Monday at the hall of Duncan Park. Practical session will begin on Tuesday at Ukhrul Headquarters Ground from 6:30am onwards. Theory and practical session will be taken up side by side during the development programme.
Referee Secretary of UDSA, Aning Kashung informed that “referee development programme is being taken up in preparation for the referee’s annual fitness test and theoretical examination for the season 2022-23 of AMFA which will be held on April 30, 3022 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal.”
UDSA expressed gratitude to AMFA for providing instructors and extending other necessary help for the smooth conduct of three days referee development programme at Ukhrul Headquarters. Referee Identification Number (RIN) for newly recruited referee is also being made available during the programme. Around 30 people have signed up for the programme which will wind up on April 20, 2022.
