The outlawed outfit Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) on Sunday clarified that the individual arrested in Cachar district of Assam has no connection with the outfit and its armed wing People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

The Cachar district police on November 23 arrested one Rakibul Nessa of Jujam near Lakhimpur with an IED, and claimed that she was a cadre of PLA, which is baseless, the RPF said in a release.

As PLA has become some sort of a “hymn” for India, the Superintendent of Police of Cachar district, Ramandeep Kaur also wants to claim that she was a member of the outfit, it added.

Denouncing India, which the outfit said still has blood on its hand of those innocents killed under AFSPA, for trying to label PLA, an ourfit waging war to regain Independence of Manipur, as a terrorist group in media, RPF maintained that it is a tactic used by “cowards” who are defeated in war.
