Synchronizing with Christian entrepreneurship living out their faith, Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA), youth ministry initiated as its commitment since the year 2016 has drawn many into the busy Supermarket area on Wednesday where a sales day was organized.
Tagged as “Made in DABA” and into its seventh year, the very particular days was organized in order to promote indigenous products by local entrepreneurs and held infront of the Hotel Saramati, Dimapur. The sales day which began since very early morning 6 am and wrapped up at around 5 pm also saw arrays of local products including paintings, clothes, handlooms and food items which were made available in
reasonable prices.
In an interaction with this correspondent, youth director, DABA, Jongshimanen, said that the concept was also to promote its church members especially the young Naga entrepreneurs while also to promote their products. He said that it was also an initiative to expose their untapped talents or skills nationally and internationally through markets.
Manen disclosed that since the inception of the “Made in DABA” initiations though there have been some lapses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, he candidly shared that the initiations have been indeed fruitful as it has been recognized internationally.
A fully church sponsored day, out of the more than 82 applicants for booking a stall (space), the limited 40 stalls were seen doing “businesses” with participation from many who thronged to check or buy the item (s) on sale. The sales day started with a prayer by DABA pastor in the presence of Dr I Wati Aier.
