Rio said the two had a positive exchange on Nagaland’s requirements and the way-forward for implementing important projects in the state

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, on Tuesday met the Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, in New Delhi.
Though the purpose and the full details of the meeting was not known officially, Rio in his official twitter handle expressed that he had a very successful meeting with the Union Minister.

Expressing his gratitude to the union finance minister for her patient hearing in the meeting and continued support for Nagaland, Rio also said they had a positive exchange on meeting the state’s requirements and the way-forward for implementing important projects in Nagaland.
It was also learnt that the Nagaland Chief minister also had a “fruitful discussion” with the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, J Scindia, with regards to matters relating to the long pending Ciethu airport in Kohima.
