Raphei Gate is a symbol of our identity and unity. May it be a blessing for every traveler who enters the gate, stated MLA of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency, Khashim Vashum at the inauguration of Raphei Gate No. 2 at Halang.

MLA of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency, Khashim Vashum on Wednesday inaugurated the Raphei Gate No. 2 at Halang Village in the presence of President (In-charge) Tangkhul Naga Long, Tuisem Kamkara, President Tangkhul Naga Wungnao Long (TNWL), SA. Ramnganing, President Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL), Somipam Vashum, Chairman Ato Longphang, Dearson Chamroy and Headman of Halang, Wungmaling Huileng.
Speaking at the occasion, MLA Khashim Vashum informed that “the two gates at Jessami towards Nagaland state have also been constructed and will be inaugurated soon. I expressed my gratitude to the Headman and Village Authority of Halang village for alloting the plot of land for construction of Raphei Gate No. 2. As you exit the gate, may you go out with blessing and give the best to others and as you enter may you bring the best idea from outside and help in building Raphei.”
MLA Khashim Vashum further added that “hard working and sincerity is the trademark of Raphei and may we continue to carry the trade as our identity. May our bonding continue to grow stronger with each passing day and coming years. As the Isrealites give thanks to the Almighty while entering the gate, may we also inculcate the same spirit of giving thanks to our Creator for the many blessings He has showered upon us.”
“May we not fight because of politics. For the coming Manipur State election 2022, God has already chosen our representative and let us accept the plan of God”, added Khashim Vashum.
President of Tangkhul Naga Wungnao Long (TNWL) SA. Ramnganig while thanking the 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency MLA for constructing the gate stated that “may every travelers who entered this gate feel a sense of warmness, comfort and security as they have entered Raphei area. May this gate symbolize our identity and our way of life that is filled with great hospitality and generosity. May this gate also signify our unity and oneness. May it be a blessing for everyone who enter the gate and more blessing for everyone who exit from this gate.”
The programme was organized by Raphei Katamnao Long, a conglomeration of 45 units from the northern parts of Ukhrul District. The inauguration programme was also attended by former ADC Members, Paothing Vashum, Ngamsung Hashuwo, Lawrence Tuizar, Vice President of Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), Ramriechan Keishing, student union leaders of Raphei villages, Headmen and Chairman of Raphei area.
