Accusing some valley-based organizations of harassing and assassinating the character of Lhukhosei Zou, “who is popular tribal leader”, Justice Foundation tor Tribals Manipur has submitted a representation to prime minister Narendra Modi indicting MPS officer and ASP Th Brinda and human rights activist Babloo Loitongbam for anti-national activities, disrupting peace, social harmony and promoting enmity between different communities of Manipur.

The foundation urged the prime minister to instruct the National Investigation Agency (NIA)/Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to immediately arrest both Brinda and Babloo.

The representation signed by its president Thomas Manlun and general secretary Lalminsiam Samte alleged that Th Brinda misused her position by trying to blackmail and threaten Autonomous District Council Chandel former chairman Lhukhosei Zou alias Sheshei in connection with a drug seizure case. As Lhukhosei refused, he was subsequently arrested and chargesheeted by Brinda, it added.

The foundation further alleged that Brinda has been making inappropriate and anti-national comments against judges, an ST senior officer, etc., in spite of the fact that she is presently facing five cases of corruption, crime and contempt of court. Despite, the ruling of the ND&PS Special Court, Lamphelpat which acquitted Lhukhosei, she has been insisting on taking the case to higher court by instigating valley-based CSOs with the help of Babloo, it claimed.

Th Brinda, who is daughter-in-law of former UNLF chairman RK Meghen, has been unethical and has ulterior motive to destabilise the present peaceful atmosphere of Manipur in cahoots with anti-national CSOs and underground outfits, it said.

Accusing him of having anti-India mindset, the foundation claimed that Babloo has been bailing out valley-based militants whenever they are arrested. Besides, he has been participating in many international forums to propagate the anti-India ideologies of valley-based militant groups and putting the nation in wrong light like the Toolkit Gang, it added.

Further, the foundation claimed that Babloo has been also involved in spreading enmity between different communities in the state.

Both Brinda and Babloo have disproportionate income and wealth accumulated by spreading anti- national agendas in Manipur sponsored by different international NGOs and deserve to be investigated by NIA/CBI, it asserted.

Saying that it is disheartening that some sections of the valley-based organization are taking law into their own hands, Justice Foundation for Tribals Manipur accused them of harassing and assassinating the character of Lhukhosei Zou, who is popular tribal leader.

The demand for retrial in higher court is nothing but to vent out anger against Lhukhosei Zou for not paying the money they demanded and to create disharmony and destabilize the state government in cahoots with opposition and militant outfits, it said.
