These Myanmar nationals were being treated at the Ortho ward with injuries caused by bullets and explosives.
TFM Report
There were at least five Myanmar nationals who had availed medical emergency services at District Hospital, Churachandpur from June 15, 2023 on wards. All the five were injured and hospitalized due to either explosion or bullet injuries.
As per an official document (dated June 28) in TFM’s possession, the following persons were admitted at Churachandpur District Hospital:
- Thargyi hailing from Tamu, Myanamr was admitted at Ortho ward bed no 11 on June 15 till June 28 with injuries on his left and right cheek caused by bomb explosion.
- Khaipi from Tamu, Myanmar with bullet injury on his right shoulder and admitted at Ortho ward no 15 on June 15
- Lulminlal from Tamu, Myanmar with bullet injury on left shoulder and admitted at Ortho ward no 14 on June 15
- Konam from Tamu, Myanmar with minor injury caused by explosion on left eye and admitted at Ortho ward on June 17, he was discharged but kept staying in the hospital attending his friends in the same hospitals
- Loky from Tamu, Myanmar with bullet injury on the stomach and admitted at ICU bed no 9 on June 17
It was also learnt that two more Myanmar nationals had been receiving treatment at the same hospital since April 20 and were lodged at the same hospital for more than two months. Both were attended by another Myanmar national. Their identities have been given as:
- Awngphyowai from Tamu, Myanmar with right leg injury caused by explosion and admitted at Ortho ward no 16 on April 20
- Ngamboi from Tamu, Myanmar injury caused by explosion on left hand and right arm. Admitted at Orthp ward no 12 on April 20
- David Thetpaing from Tamu, Myanmar attending the two patients since April 20
