“’Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign of the government of India is a clandestine plan to impose Indianisation process to people whose lands were forcibly merged with India and it does not represent Manipur’s independence”, said CorCom.

Forcibly occupied, India is now challenged by sovereignty movements led by groups different region of WESEA to create ‘One nation, one religion, one language’ objective, added CorCom.

The conglomerate also alleged that the revocation of Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir and implementation of Citizen Amendment Act were clear examples of Hindu chauvinistic agenda and Hindutva policy based on Hindu chauvinism. CorCom said that it was a deliberate attempt to uproot indigenous communities who have unique culture, language and identity.

CorCom said that Manipur became one of the first few countries in the entire Asiatic continent to form a democratic government and the fact that Manipur had regained its independence was testified by India’s annexation in 1949.
