The Core Committee On Naga Political Issue (CCNPI) on Monday has sought intervention of India’s Prime minister, Narendra Modi, on resumption of the “talks” between the government of India, the interlocutor and the NSCN (I-M).
The nine members entourage led by Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, including the UDA chairman, TR Zeliang, on Monday also called on the union home minister, Amit Shah, and insisted on that the protracted “talk” has to be based on the “Framework Agreement”.
Met the Hon'ble @HMOIndia Shri @AmitShah with the Parliamentary Core Committee to discuss the Naga Political Issue. Once again, we urged the GoI to expedite the protracted negotiations on the issue and bring about an early and honourable solution. pic.twitter.com/znSBV1zLNx

Giving a patience hearing to the nine members delegates from Nagaland, the union home minister however had made it clear that the Indian national “flag and constitution” cannot be undermined in any way.
The union home minister has also asked the visiting team to “impress” upon the NSCN (IM) collective leadership to resume the talks and come to a logical conclusion.
When contacted, former Nagaland chief minister, and UDA chairman, TR Zeliang, who was also one of the nine member team said that the core committee team had a “free and fair” discussion with the union home minister. He later divulged that the meet ended with a positive note but without details.
