A release clarified to the general public that wrong information was spread through social media on mass resignation of Block Congress Committee and Mahila of 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency.

The members of Block Congress Committee (BCC) of 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency has come out with a clarification denying the enmasse resignation of the members of Block Congress Committee of 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency from active and primary membership of INC.
In a press release jointly signed by Vice President of BCC of 45-Chingai, Shangam Maluksho, President of Mahila, Chanreila Rungsung, Executive Member of BCC, Pamching M. Vashum and Executive Member of BCC, Jacob R Shimray stated that “some individuals have resigned from the active and primary membership of the party for their best interest. Nevertheless, people who have been working with heart and soul on the principles of Congress Party are still working according to their various capacities for one and all.”
The press release sought to clarify to the general public that wrong information was spread through social media on mass resignation of Block Congress Committee and Mahila of 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency.
On September 18, 2021, the Block Congress Committee of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency signed by President, Isreal Zimik, General Secretary, PS. Lighter, Treasurer, L. Wormi Angkang and President Youth Congress, Hanringpam Horam had issued a press release stating that along with them 14 Executive Members of BCC (INC) of 45-Chingai have resigned enmasse from active and primary membership of INC to support Ningam Chamroy (Retd. IAS), BJP intending candidate from 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency in the upcoming 2022 Assembly Election of Manipur.
Speaking to this correspondent, Vice President of BCC, 45-Chingai, Shangam Maluksho informed that only 4 executive members of BCC and only 1 Executive member of Mahila had left the party. The number was exaggerated. He also mentioned that 4 executive members of BCC 45-Chingai had left long time to support another BJP intending candidate from 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency.
