Former Nagaland minister, and senior NPF MLA, K Azo Nienu said that any form of solution/settlement should be “above” Article 371 (A) and it should also be a solution to end an era of extortion, threat, killing, kidnapping and taxation.
He stated this while addressing the gathering at the concluding day of the two day 30th general session of Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) on Thursday at Phek.
Stating that what more was there to talk when the government of India have declared that “talks” have concluded on October 31, 2019.
According an NPF source, Azo has said that if so, all we have to ask the government of India was to implement what has been agreed with our “national workers”, but before it is put to implementation, the competency clauses should be made known to the general public.
Azo stated that any form of solution/settlement should be “above present Article 371 (A) and nothing below” .
It should also be a solution to end an era of extortion, threat, killing, kidnapping and taxation, but nevertheless, our aspirations or demand for a complete sovereignty would continue till we achieve it.
While thanking the federation for their pro active role in the cause of the Naga issue, Azo also urged the Nagaland GB federation to continue their support to the “National cause”.
He further stated that since the Gaon Buras (GBs) are the guardian of the Naga customary laws and traditions, they should also be guardian of the “Naga political issue” too.
