The body bore marks of bullet injuries on the head. One on the back of the head (right side behind the ear) that pierced out through the right eye (near the eyebrow) and the other on the back side of left head (near the upper side of the ear).

A death body of a man was found about 4km from Ukhrul Headquarters.
On receiving the report, SP of Ukhrul, Ningshem Vashum rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. The SDO/SDM of Ukhrul Block, Suranjoy Maibam Singh, also visited the spot.
According to Ukhrul Police, the body bore mark of bullet injuries on the head. One on the back of the head (right side behind the ear) that pierced out through the right eye (near the eyebrow) and the other on the back side of left head (near the upper side of the ear). The deceased hands were tied at the back and face covered with blood. One bullet (projectile) was recovered on the spot.
Ukhrul Police informed that a sum of Rs. 3270 was found in the deceased pocket. The deceased has a tattoo on the left arm, medium build and wear a blue arm-less shirt with white stripe and light grey pants.
At the time of filing this report, Ukhrul Police informed that they are waiting for the personnel of the Forensic Department from Imphal to arrive at the spot. The deceased is yet to be identified and the time of the killing is yet to be ascertained.
