The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) project covering Imphal-Moreh Section of National Highway- 39 from km 350+000 to Km 395+680 (Wanging to Khonkhang) a total length of 44/80 Km (two-lane with paved shoulder) entrusted to GR infraprojects Limited in the state of Manipur costing to Rs 868.75 cr has been conferred 13 CIDC Vishwakarma Award -2022 by Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) under the category “Best Construction Project”
This project is part of the India -Myanmar-Thailand Corridor, funded by the Asian development bank and naned as AS-1 highway.
This highway passes through Steep hilly terrain and faced difficulties during Construction due to extreme weather conditions as 6-8 months îts topography falls under a rainy area.
Despite of all odds, this project is completed 3.5 months ahead of the scheduled completion date. This was informed by Isbwar Singh Arya (Sr. Project Manager) GR infraprojects Limited. He said that the New technology of Breast wall Construction implemented in this project has received appreciation and as well adopted by other government agencies also.
