After numerous days of hectic and tiring days, doctors at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) have heaved a sigh of relief as active COVID19 caseload in the state has dipped to 33 and no covid patient has been admitted to the premier state-funded hospital in the last 24 hours.
According to data made available by Manipur Government’s Covid-19 Common Control Room, 296 beds out of 300 beds reserved for covid patients are lying unoccupied in JNIMS while 146 beds out of 190 beds reserved in state’s only centre-funded hospital Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) are lying vacant.
Besides, no covid positive cases have been reported in both JNIMS and RIMS where 25 and 41 samples were tested.
Meanwhile, the state on Friday reported that four persons (3M. IF) from general population were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases in the last twenty-four hours out of 733 samples tested on Friday and test positivity rate stood at 0.5 per cent.
The three positive cases are from Imphal West and one from Jiribam. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, said a statement from Covid-19 Common Control Room.
In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported no Covid-19 death.
Today, two persons were discharged. Both are from Home Isolation. Besides officials said due to various reasons, 50 persons are reported as discharged cases only Friday. Therefore, the total number of recovered cases is considered as 52 after Reconciliation as on 25 March, 2022, added the official source.
The official further said as on 24 March, 2022, a total of 281 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 97 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
