The Jiribam district achieved 100% vaccination with the first dose against Covid-19 on August 29, 2021, an official said on Monday.
According to Jiribam Deputy Commissioner W Malemnganba Chenglei, vaccination against Covid-19 started in Jiribam district on February 9, 2021 initially covering healthcare and frontline workers. Later, it was extended to persons over 18 years of age.
