The Manipur government on Monday exempted additional activities from the ten-day total curfew in addition to the existing ones.
The Home Department has issued an order to this effect.
Post offices will be allowed with minimal staff for urgent office work and delivery. For the veterinary and animal husbandry, and dairy, activities like collection and home delivery of milk and feeding of animals and birds in government farms will be allowed.
E-Commerce delivery has also been exempted from the total curfew.
Banking and ATM services have now been allowed as per earlier order — Banking services with limited staff on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 2:30 pm for urgent government and non-government transactions only, and ATM services including refilling of cash in ATMs.
CAF & PD can function with minimum staff or personnel of CAF & PD and FCI, and the Forest Department is allowed continuation of tree plantations. Movement for feeding animals in the Zoo and National Park is also permitted.
Officials and workers of road projects taken up by NHIDCL, Asian Development Bank, and railway projects in the state have also been allowed.
The July 16 curfew order by the Home Department had allowed only essential activities or services related to vaccination, COVID testing, medical services (hospitals, clinics or pharmacies), water supply, Power supply, police, telecom or internet services, air travel, agriculture or horticulture, garbage clearance, petrol pumps, LPG distributors, goods trucks, and, print and electronic media.
