Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) on Tuesday announced that the student body is observing the 14th Disturbance Free Educational Zone Demand Day on July 5 on the theme ‘Impact of Covid-19 on Education and Challenges in Teaching Learning Process’.
In a statement, DESAM informed that on July 5, 2008 a huge rally was taken out by like-minded groups, students, teachers, guardians, CSOs, amongst others demanding not to disturb any educational related activities in the state. In commemoration of the day, it has been observed as ‘Disturbance Free Educational Zone Demand Day’.
A Coordinating Committee formed by different organisations including — AMCTA, AMRPSWA, AMSGO, AMESTA, AMSSTA, CASA, CESM, MGHSLWA, PSDC, UARSOM, AIMS, and DESAM, is organising the day this year.
The student body also informed that an open painting competition is also being organised on this year’s theme ‘Impact of Covid-19 on Education and Challenges in Teaching Learning Process’.
