Dr. Pamza Luikham presented the Covid Statistic of Ukhrul District 2021 beginning from March 23, 2021 onwards at one-day consultative meeting on patient-doctor relationship and healthcare concern of Ukhrul and Kamjong Districts held at Ukhrul District Hospital on Sunday.
According to the data made available, 19.3% among Covid-19 positive had received their vaccinations (at least first dose) and 80.7% are unvaccinated. Overall 7.2% Covid positive had received their first dose, 12.1% had received their second dose and 80.7% positive are unvaccinated out of the total 1,854 total positive.
He also informed that Covid Hospital at TK Woodland, Shirui was activated on August 11 2021. 71.8% of the patients admitted at Covid Hospital at TK Woodland, Shirui are unvaccinated and only 28.2% are vaccinated at least with the first dose. Out of 98 patients admitted, 78 are unvaccinated and 23 have received their second dose and five their first dose.
At Covid Care Centre in Ukhrul, 89.3% of patients admitted are unvaccinated and only 10.7 % have taken their first or second dose. Out of 1,235 patients admitted so far, 4.6% have received their second dose and 6.1% their first dose and the figure for unvaccinated stands at 89.3%.
The data also indicates that 90.2% of patients admitted at Isolation Ward, Ukhrul District Hospital are unvaccinated and only 9.8% are vaccinated at least first dose. Figures showing vaccination status by dose among the patients are 90.2% unvaccinated, 8.6% first dose and 1.2% second dose.
The figure showing vaccination status amongst the deaths in Isolation Ward of Ukhrul District Hospital stands at 91% unvaccinated and the 9% are vaccinated at least with the first dose. Since May 2021, a total of 45 people have died due to Covid-19. Out of which, 41 victims are unvaccinated (91%), 3 victims have received their first dose (6.8%) and 1 victim have received the second dose (2.2%).
