UPF chairman ST Thangboi’s mother Kimkhonei Kipgen (60) succumbed to her prolonged Ovarian Cancer at around 12:20 am on May 28 at her Ngahmun residence in Kangpokpi District

The United People’s Front (UPF), one of the conglomerate organization of various Kuki UGs under suspension of operations and an entity of the tripartite talks offered heartfelt condolence over the untimely demise of its Chairman’s mother.
In its condolence message, UPF Secretary Information and Publicity, Thanglenlal Doungel said that UPF chairman ST Thangboi’s mother Kimkhonei Kipgen (60) succumbed to her prolonged Ovarian Cancer at around 12:20 am on May 28 at her Ngahmun residence in Kangpokpi District.
She is survived by three son and four daughters. Her funeral ceremony was held today at Ngahmun village cemetery following strict COVID protocols.
While offering heartfelt condolences to its Chairman and family, Thanglenlal Doungel said, “At times when we are in grieved, let’s remember the Father of mercies and God of all comfort enveloping us with his strong, caring arms, carefully holding us like a father holding his child.”
“Grief has no time table and it is a universal language that each person speaks but must experience on their own and it is our prayer that God will comfort you and your whole family during this sad time,” Doungel added.
He continued that it is never easy to lose a parent no matter how old we are and no matter how close or complicated the relationship, it hits hard while adding that our mother was a blessing to many people and our organization with her faith and kindness.
It’s been on our heart to share with you a few words from Mother Teresa and we pray hese words bless your heart and minds as you prepare to say goodbye to your loved one: “Death is nothing else but going home to God, the bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity”, he added.
He also said that death leaves heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal and may you remember to hold tight to your memories.
The UPF while extending deepest sympathies, condoles the bereaved family saying “goodbye” is really “See you later” while praying that may the great healer pass His gentle hand over your heart and soul as you come to terms with the loss and bring you a heavenly tranquility while knowing that the Lord has our mother enveloped in perfect care.
