Initiated by the Business Association of Nagas (BAN), the conference serves as a platform for industry experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss sustainable tourism and logistics in the state and the region. With distinguished panelists from India and overseas, the event facilitates collaboration, explores growth opportunities, and seeks to enhance economic development through tourism and efficient transport networks.
Key objectives include positioning Nagaland as a premier tourism destination, strengthening logistics and transport infrastructure, fostering cross-border collaborations, and empowering local entrepreneurs and MSMEs. Supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the conference brings together participants from within and beyond India, especially from South Asian countries connected to Northeast India.
The conference also highlights sustainable development, infrastructure challenges, and investment opportunities in Nagaland’s tourism, transport, and logistics sectors. A special focus is placed on promoting entrepreneurship and leveraging technology-driven solutions for the state’s growing tourism industry.
Zubeno Mozhui, Convener of BAN’s Tourism Standing Committee, announced that the Tourism Excellence Awards would be presented on the concluding day, February 8.

She highlighted that “Nagaland’s strength lies in its community, nature, and culture,” advocating for responsible and sustainable tourism. She noted that Nagaland offers a distinct experience for visitors eager to explore its biodiversity and traditional way of life.
A special workshop will be conducted to train stakeholders in the tourism industry, including hotels, homestays, tour operators, travel agencies, and event organizers, on leveraging digital tools and technology.
NICTTL Co-Convenor Inoto Kinimi stressed that the conference aims to address infrastructure gaps and market access through collaboration between the government, private sector, and global experts. The event provides a platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and startups to network and create business opportunities in tourism.
