The Tangkhul Naga Long and its frontal organisations have vehemently condemned the planting of bombs at the office of PHED Ukhrul on March 21, 2023 and the bomb blast inside the premises of Mini Secretariat Complex on 21 March 2023.
In a press statement signed by TNL vice-president RS Jollyson said, “The Tangkhul Naga Long and its frontal organisations emergency meeting held on 23 March 2023 vehemently condemned the incidents of bomb planting and explosions in the Ukhrul Headquarters premises of PHED, Ukhrul and Mini Secretariat respectively. The incidents have shaken the hearts and sentiments of the peace-loving Tangkhul community. The fact that both incidents took place in broad daylight where there is tight security is heart-wrenchingly disturbing. Such terrorizing activities against humanity and tranquillity of the region have made the denizens of Ukhrul Headquarters unsafe and insecure.
“The TNL and its frontal organisations urge the authorities concerned to act swiftly and bring the perpetrators to justice as early as possible. Only such attentive efforts will help restore faith in the law of the land and the state, and reinstate peace and tranquillity within the community.”
