Having being received many complaints from general public and also the various CSO’s regarding late-night clubs/pubs and discos continuing till early morning, the Union Territory (UT), NSCN (IM), on Tuesday has informed that all the nightclubs/pubs and discos should stop their operation immediately within its jurisdiction.
Secretary, UT, NSCN (IM), Solomon Sumi, in a press release stated that it prompted them to issue the directives or the ban as it was found that several underage girls were seen late at night in an “unusual manner”, and also engaging in various immoral activities with married man/non-local businessmen for some few cash.
The UT secretary, NSCN (IM), has also warned those involved in peddling drugs or any other banned substances within its jurisdiction by stating that the use of drugs among Naga youth has increased in the past few years as it is easily accessible.
It warned that stringent action would be taken against those involving in sale of any banned substances while cautioning its staff to inform/consult its office regarding any work within the UT jurisdiction and in case of any untoward incident by its members, the concerned office shall deal strictly with its member.
