NBSE HSLC, HSSLC 2024 results out; Mhachilo Yanthan tops Nagaland HSLC merit lists

In the HSSLC 2024 examinations, Keletsole Mekro of Dainty Buds, Kohima, topped the Arts stream with 97.40 %, Satyam Kumar Jaiswal, of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School (HCHSS), Dimapur, was in the 1st position of the merit lists in commerce stream wih 98.40 %, while Narola Imsong of Queen Mary Higher Secondary School (QMHSS), Mokokchung, topped in science stream with 96.20 %.

Mhachilo Yanthan of Christian Higher Secondary School (CHSS), Dimapur, has topped the merit lists in the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) conducted HSLC 2024 examinations by securing 98.83 per cent. She scored 593 marks in Nagaland’s HSLC examinations 2024.

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) declared the results of HSLC (Class 10) and HSSLC (Class 12) on April 26 afternoon with the overall pass percentage of Class 10 board exams at 71.87% of both private (14,922), and government schools (4m684), with 12948 and 2274 students respectively clearing the HSLC 2024 examinations successfully.

The pass percentage of Nagaland HSLC 2023 was 70.30 %.

With the 4684 enrolled candidates from the government schools for the HSLC exams, 2274 students qualified (48.55%) while 21689 candidates sat for the exams as repeaters out of which 15588 qualified (71.87%).

Looking into the statistics of government schools in the state, the government school results in the HSLC 2023 examinations was 49.13 % which meant that out of the 5419 students enrolled, 2466 passed out the exams.

The overall pass percentage in the Class 12 (arts stream) is 83.16%, the pass percentages in both commerce and science streams were 87.67% and 80.88% respectively.

The NBSE Class 10 board exams 2024 were conducted from February 13 to February 23, whereas the Class 12 exams began on February 12 and concluded on March 6, 2024.

Over 60,00 students from Nagaland appeared for this year’s Class 10 and 12 board examinations in 68 centers across the state.
