Transperancy Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organization (NTPRADAO) appealed to the Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, to immediately institute a “Special Investigation Team (SIT)”, in order unearth the facts of the “financial scam”.

Transperancy Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organization (NTPRADAO) has given 15-day ultimatum to the Nagaland state government with regard to the financial misappropriation case under the Rural Department, Nagaland.
The organization tagging the department as the “most corrupted department” in the state, said the schemes meant for the under under privileged were essentially for the “Housing for all 2022” but lamented that few of the heads including 11 project directors under the department have utilized the amount for their personal interests.
This particular revelation came into light after an RTI activist sought the intervention of the officials of the NTPRADAO to take up the matter with urgency on public interest for a logical conclusion.
The RTI activist has also sought information under Rural Development (RD), Nagaland, with regard to the PMAY-G, stating that no payment was made to the beneficiaries while it was learnt that Rs 74,73, 07,700 Crores has been already sanctioned, order and authority as received by the finance department.
The organisation appealed to the Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, to immediately institute a “Special Investigation Team (SIT)”, in order unearth the facts of the “financial scam”. At the same time, it nailed the concerned “ex-officio” to repay the alleged “looted amount”to the state ex-chequer and also file appropriate case in the court. The organization said that failing to fulfill its demand within the specific 15-day time frame, any consequences would be the responsibility of the Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio.
