In a new development, NSCN/GPRN Ato Kilonser, N Kitovi Zhimomi, has been reportedly “impeached” after a meeting was held on Sunday at Khehoyi designated camp.
According to sources, envoy to the collective leadership, GPRN/NSCN, Alezo Venuh, has been unanimously elected as the new Ato Kilonser/general secretary, while Commander-in-Chief, Naga Army, GPRN/NSCN, Samson Ayemi, is reported to take over as vice-president.
It may be mentioned that N Kitovi Zhimomi, is also the convenor of the Working Committee of the NNPGs (WC-NNPGs), while Alezo Venuh, is the coordinator of the same.
“In an unprecedented and exceptional call of circumstances, an Emergency National Assembly was convened and the House deliberated upon the authoritarian complexities of the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser,” a statement signed by Inaka Tsuqu, Speaker, NTH GPRN/NSCN and Kideon V Zhimomi, chief secretary GPRN/NSCN.
As per the statement, N Kitovi Zhimomi was impeached on four grounds. They are:
- Huge financial liabilities: The House deliberated upon the past many years of financial instability of the government and has concluded the main cause of the weak financial stability is due to the Ato Kilonser’s self-motivated financial strategy
- Lack of Interest: While deliberating upon the various anomalies which has been weakening GPRN, the House established the cause to that of the unyielding disposition and lack of focus shown by the Ato Kilonser towards the progress of GPRN.
- Incompetency: The House has also charged that the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser, inspite of many advices from respectable and appropriate GPRN members, has failed to consider nor bought in any exemplary changes in running the government.
- Dictatorial and Autocratic: Deliberating upon the style and system of governance, the House is convinced that the governing system practiced by the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser is progressing to take the shape of a Dictatorial and Autocratic mode which is totally against the norm of the Naga national movement and has never been envisioned sing the beginning of the national movement.
