The District Administration of Ukhrul organised “District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit” at DRDA Training Hall, Ukhrul on Friday.

With an aim to make the governance of the state more citizen-centric and programme implementation effective, the Ukhrul District Administration organises it’s 6th edition of “District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit” at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat, Ukhrul on Friday.
District Health Society, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, District Agriculture, ICDS, CAF& PD, Handloom & Textiles, District Social Welfare, District Industrial Corporation, One Stop Centre, PMGSY, PWD, MSPDCL, PHED, UDCRMS, Autonomous District Council and ZEO were some of the major line departments among 29 departments that were present at the event.
The Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul distributed baby kits to 5 female child and their mothers under the initiative program of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Further, the District Horticulture & Soil Conservations also distributed organic pesticides vermi comp to 5 beneficeries.
Meanwhile, the District Health Society issued 27 Birth & Death certificates.They also facilitated Covid19 vaccinations and blood sugar tests on the spot. The District Social Welfare received 7 old age and disability applications under MOAPS, CMST and CMWPS.
The District Revenue department gave out 16 certificates of birth order form.
Today’ s programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar, SP of Ukhrul, Ningshem Vashum, Assistant Conservator of Forest of Ukhrul, Amit Kaler, ADM of Ukhrul, Chunglenmang Kipgen, SDO Ukhrul, Suranjoy Maibam Singh, AC to DC Ukhrul, Rohini Kumar, SDO/SDM Jessami, Mangminlen Vaiphei among others.
Around 118 people attended the programme. According to the report made available, around 55 grievances of applications were received today from 52 villages.
