A total of 659 D type Oxygen cylinders and 176 B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur, in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Department.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state surged to 2,391 as Manipur reported the highest single day spike — 433 fresh cases, on Tuesday since the second wave of the pandemic hit the state. At present 1,621 COVID patients are in home isolation.
In the past twenty-four hours, 432 persons (250 male, 182 female) from the general population and one personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases, according to the Health Department.
Imphal West (183) and Imphal East (108) continue to report the majority of the new cases. The other positive cases from the general population are from Churachandpur (42), Kakching (35), Bishnupur (26), Thoubal (17), Tamenglong (6), Ukhrul (5), Jiribam (3), Senapati (3), Kamjong (2), Kangpokpi (1), and Tengnoupal (1).
In the last 24 hours, two persons aged 58 yrs (male, Thoubal) and 45 yrs (male, Bishnupur) expired at JNIMS (2) hospital. The death toll has now reached 424.
As many as 111 COVID patients — CAPF (4), Home Isolation (87). RIMS (4), JNIMS (9), RAJMED (1), and SHRI (6), were discharged in the last 24 hours.
The caseload of the state now stands at 32,956 (General Population – 29,370 and Central Security Personnel – 3,586). The recovery rate is 91.45 %.
Air passengers who travelled to the state on May 2 by Indigo flight 6181 in rows 11-17 have been instructed to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) for further surveillance and necessary testing.
As per the latest information, 2,21,983 individuals have been vaccinated in the state, out of which 71,281 have received the second dose.

On Tuesday, a total of 2,473 test results were received and 38 COVID tests were conducted at the airport, according to the IDSP Manipur update.
Meanwhile, India reported 3.57 lakhs new COVID19 cases, and 3,449 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry. 3.20 lakhs patients were discharged.
The total caseload of the country has now touched 2.02 crores and 2.22 lakhs deaths. While there are more than 34.47 lakhs active cases at present, 15.89 crore have been vaccinated in the country.
