The Agriculture minister Lukhoi claimed that there are enough stocks of urea fertilizers to be allocated for all the farmers in the state.

Agriculture minister Oinam Lukhoi Singh on Sunday distributed urea fertilizers at Main Fertilizer Godown, Lamphelpat to respective District Agriculture Officers (DAOs) for distribution to farmers in Manipur.
Briefing the media, minister Lukhoi said that there are enough stocks of urea fertilizers to be allocated for all the farmers in the state. He stated that there will be no shortage of fertilizers this Kharif season, as per a DIPR Manipur release.
Minister Lukhoi encouraged all the concerned DAOs to work in the interest of the farmers and maintain transparency while distributing the urea fertilizers to ensure that it reaches all the farmers. Lukhoi also expressed hope that Manipur will be self-sufficient in food production through the farmers in Manipur.
Lukhoi stressed on to ensure the smooth and timely supply of fertilizers to the farmers and he instructed the officers and officials of the Agriculture Department to strictly monitor the high rate of urea fertilizers sold at the market to the farmers.
Agriculture commissioner M Joy Singh, director Kh Lalmani Singh and all concerned officers and officials of the department were also present.
The release also mentioned that as per a model created by the department to procure urea by the farmers, a farmer has to bring land document and identity card and for those farmers with no land document or do farming at Khasland has to bring a document certified by village authority and identity card.
