KKL has written a letter to Swami Dharmapriyananda principal, Ramakrishna Mission School, Uripok, Imphal, in this regard on Tuesday.
KKL demanded that Swami Dharmapriyananda gave an “unqualified apology” owing moral responsibility as the Head of the Institution to — the people of Manipur for holding classes on April 23, 2021 (Khongjom Day); the Mussalman community of the state for holding classes on May 14 which was the day when Idul-Fitr (Eid) was celebrated worldwide amongst the muslim communities; and the working class of Manipur for holding classes on May 1 or May day.
“It is clear that you not only have either contempt of the feelings of the people of the state by holding
classes on Khongjom Day but have little respect for the religious feelings of other religions by holding
classes on Eid. Further you have also exhibited scant respect for the feelings of the international solidarity of the working class,” KKL said in the letter.
KKL also threatened to to mobilise the opinions of Muslim organisations in the state and in the country for holding classes on Eid. Should we also mobilise the various trade unions with both national as well as international affiliations to question you on the disrespect shown to the working class world wide, KKL asked the principal.
KKL also urged Swami Dharmapriyananda to give further commitment as the head of the Ramakrishna Mission School in Manipur to ensure that no such “mistakes” are committed in the future by him or his sub-ordinate staff.
