The Asian Highway Land Affected Villages Chairmen/Chief’s Association and Thadou Students’ Association Sadar Hills slammed the revenue commissioner for the alleged “cooked-up meeting resolution” issued on July 6.
It said that the meeting proceeding of the July 6 meeting held in the conference hall of Secretariat South Block, Imphal to resolve the issue relating to construction or development of National Highway 2 issued by the commissioner (Rev), Government l of Manipur is not acceptable by the representatives.
It pointed out that the meeting was just a casual discussion and no resolution was adopted or taken during the meeting while adding that the revenue commissioner, after the meeting, cooked up the meeting procedures on his own without the knowledge and concern of the representatives.
It asserted that the declaration made by the revenue commissioner that some parts of Kangpokpi District as part of Imphal West District is a mockery and will never be accepted.
It further said that apart from it, the meeting procedures allegedly drafted by the revenue commissioner were never circulated to the representatives, rather it was obtained after a few weeks.
