With assembly election fever already hitting Churachandpur district, an intending candidate from 57-Henglep Assembly Constituency, Nehminthang Haokip reportedly embarked on a public service mission in various areas.
Recently, an intending candidate for the next Manpur Assembly Election was reported to have cleared debris caused by a landslide along Henglep – Churachandpur road. He was said to have engaged a JCB to clear the debris as it completely cut off Henglep area with the rest of the world.
It was reported that a landslide had occurred due to incessant rain near S Kholep village along Henglep to Churachandpur road. It disrupted the movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
It was when the intending candidate Nehminthang Haokip jumped into action and cleared the debris considering the grievances and hardships encountered by the people, said a local resident.
Meanwhile, the people of S Kholep and Henglep area have expressed gratitude to Nehminthang Haokip for his timely intervention in addressing the plights of the people.
